This week Deepseek AI rocked the news world and tech stocks because it has been claimed to be comparable to Open AI's AI model at a fraction of the cost.

Actual Experience using Deepseek

Deepseek seems super similar to Open Ai. I did some test queries and if you watch the video you can even see the side by side responses for the same prompt. You can see a screen shot when I asked it for a prediction for bitcoin by the end of 2026. Rather than copout it provided the bullish, moderation, and bearish scenario, which is great.

DeepSeek AI vs. OpenAI

While both companies face similar infrastructure costs, OpenAI has been operating at a larger scale for longer, which means its costs are likely higher. DeepSeek AI, being a newer or more niche player, might optimize costs by focusing on specific use cases or leveraging more efficient training techniques.

Using the Deepseek Api to Create a Custom App using an Ai Coder

I get the api key from deepseek's website and then use it to build a custom chat app using the api key. I believe there is a lot of potential here and the top up price is not expensive to begin.
