creating youtube thumbnails used to be a time consuming task. Now you can use the power of AI specifically using google's gemini nano banana pro to help you create your youtube thumbnails. I think it also helps that Youtube is a google company allowing easy integration. Here are some sample prompts and sample to help inspire you.
I'm using the gemini pro plan, but you should be able to create some free generations for free. My first prompt was "Make an exciting youtube thumbnail for the year in pickleball" and I attached a screenshot for the reference. Having a reference is important.
It created an amazing thumbnail and took care of enhancements for me. The next prompt I had to iteration/follow up with the year change to 2025. Making text alterations or adjustents are easy to do via prompt.
I downloaded the image, which was above 8mb. I had to use photoshop to make the file size smaller otherwise this is an amazing new way to use AI to create amazing youtube thumbnails fast. You can even do this from your phone using the gemini app.
